Sacramento to Galt – Stockton – Jackson Ride

Awesome day or motorcycle riding!

Three regional north California riding groups met up for a ride….

Total of 18 or so trikes and 2x two wheelers met up to ride around the countryside. Ending with a bite to eat in Jackson CA at Mel’s.

We then all went on our separate ways.

First off I have to say how much I appreciate how trike riders just get along. We are all very diverse and interesting group of Peeps who just LOVE riding.

Check out the bikes!!!

Thank you all Trike riders (and love ones who ride two wheelers) for being so awesome……

Here come some of the pics!!!!

Thanks peeps!

Look forward to testing my new camera next week.

Cheers,

Action Camera 360

Excitement for my new 360 Action Camera

Just ordered the Insta360 One X2. Check out the video below it’s WILD. No that’s not shot by a third person it’s shot by a Insta360 X2!

Wow Amazing!

So excited to capture and share rides! Woot woot!

Racy Tracy

When it arrives I know I’ll be out capturing lots of footage for the blog.

I considered a bunch of cameras and watched SO many YouTube videos. Almost went with the Insta360 GO and may get it sometime in the future. However I LOVE the options of the X2 with 360 view. It can look like a drone and create a “bubble” around your bike. Truly awesome!

Cost is around $550 (thanks Dad) as my Christmas $$ were spent here! Plus I recommend the ONE X2 Premium Lens Guards for about $50 you know I get out in the mud sometimes and need to protect my investment from scratching. Oh it’s also waterproof!!!

Here the kit and camera – click to link to store
Protect that investment

Here is the Insta Go! It’s TINY. Would love to use this for family and friends camera. Being hands free and not behind my iPhone is really appealing around $394 for a nice kit (starts at $299).

Love it.. Wow

I love photography and you can bet on some new footage on my blog peeps!

Dirty Racy Ryker Rally action in the mud!

So Peeps what do you use and how you sharing your videos and photos? I’m thinking YouTube (video) and here & Pinterest. Thoughts?

Cheers!

Placerville Ride

What a fantastic day. Got to be real, it was a rough week this week. Riding is my therapy. On rides I’m either jamming to my music, or exhaling as I notice Gods amazing beauty, the feeling of gratitude was strong today.

Love riding in a group and sharing amazing experiences together! Yet to experience any bad apples in our riding group. I just love all the peeps!

Relive the RIDE!

I got some awesome Christmas blessings this year and a couple need to go on my Racy Ryker. A tail-bag, a drink holder, next funds from Dad I’m buying an action camera. Plan to give an update as all go onto Racy Ryker.

Two panic attacks last week and sleeping 4hrs per night. It’s okay I bet I sleep tonight!

Back on the Open Road!

So excited to start back riding. I had a little break as sunstroke is no joke peeps, two days recovery after riding in 95F weather. It’s ALL GOOD today high was 80F so it made a huge difference!

The group is growing and I met lots of awesome and interesting people, including fellow male and female (yipppeee) riders.

Ready for Murphy’s Grub – we were all hungry!

Was my longest ride so far. I’m super sore but well worth it…. did some adjustments to my Racy – extending foot pegs, raising break peddle and tightening my suspension. HUGE improvement.

Being out and riding with a group really helps my PTSD it’s a great time to reflect and think. Need to do this regularly for sure Peeps!

Great ride from Sacramento CA to Murphy’s

Okay so I FAILED at one thing today. I should of taken more photos. Three of us super ladies managed to squeeze in a wine tasking. I walked away with an awesome port, yessss!

Riding again next Saturday evening. Can’t wait peeps.

So who’s been riding lately? Any tips for avoiding heatstroke in HOT weather 95/100F + i.e 40/45+ C let me know in comments below.

Secure Your Valuables – Silly!

Today had a great ride from Sacramento to Poor’s Red BBQ, in El Dorado County. Peeps I really did leave poorer! My Sena Headset, mounted to my helmet went walkabout, worth about $160. Yes someone stole it…. grrrr guess they needed it more than I did peeps!

I have a secure lock for my helmet and normally put the Sena unit in my backpack. Riding with others it’s easy to get out of your normal routine. The unit never got into my backpack!!!

Great Headset!

Then on the way home a cooling bandanna around my neck flew off! Lol! It’s okay peeps it really did make me laugh…. Expensive lesson. Secure you stuff peeps. No one to blame except myself. Prayed on the ride home and released my frustration.

Sometimes you just need to laugh at yourself!

What have you lost on a ride peeps?

Ride-along Buddy

I’m about to get very REAL. I am a Survivor of bad sexual assault motivated by hate for being bisexual. 15/16 years and a lot of healing has occurred.

However I am having a major PTSD flare up after a small physical event occurred, leaving my arm bruised and flaring my PTSD. I am a very STRONG woman who has gone thru some stuff! Each time rebounding STRONGER. I am a reflection of the world we live in (as we all are) time is Now to do the WORK to make a WORLD that works for ALL its people.

My PEEPS I pray we all do the work to address our issues and rebound stronger. Action is needed. I’m doing my inner work and being active to denounce RACISM when every I see it.

Riding my Ryker is soooo helping my mental health at this time. Like the little guy who joined me for my ride!

Together is the only way the US and in fact the world can move forward…..

Much love ❤️ for all my PEEPS!

What is your experience? Does riding help you?

Sunday Thoughts – Finding Peace in these times

The uprising and protests for social justice are challenging Institutionalized Racism here in the USA and around the world. It is a moment that is screaming out all the pain and injustice felt in our communities. A horrid storm of events ripping off our scabs of pain to see our society scream collectively ENOUGH.

At this historic moment we have an open road of possibilities before us, to co-create a world that works for all. Can “we” replace fear with LOVE?

What does that look like?

Today I took the opportunity to exhale and spend a little time reflecting and looking after my own mental health. Something we all need to do from time to time. Spiritual connection & meditation is again prioritized in my daily routine. I know it’s what works for me in difficult times.

A few weeks ago my mental health was triggered by a physical incident with a “boyfriend” that left my arm and inner self bruised. My PTSD flared and I was in a spiral when The George Floyd video first appeared.

I reached out for help, talked to a new therapist and reset my work hours. This has enabled me to focus and exhale in this moment.

I’m remembering to take time to nurture myself, so I’m able to meet this moment with passion and determination.

I’ve have been riding my Ryker to think. On the open road I keep envisioning meeting this moment of change and healing before us, with grace. In my meditation last night, in the still silence between my heartbeats, I started seeing glimpses of what that society could look like. All races and differences celebrated, full embraced and above all free!

What do you see? Can we open our hearts and put down fear of the other?

Do you find riding exhilarating, fun, highly cathartic and at times meditative for you?

Social Justice – Tracy’s View

I support long overdue social justice reforms. George Floyd video was traumatic and I am OUTRAGED. I am committed to be an ally for Black/Brown People. I will continue to speak up when ever I witness discrimination, and never tolerate racism. Seeing George’s pain ripped my heart open. I see every black person I love in his face, pleading for his life, including my own daughter.

I have committed to continue learning more. Having an amazing black child has been my biggest opportunity to learn. The more I learn, the more I understand that I need to know more. Race is complicated, with long cruel history in the USA. Now having an understanding of Institutionalized Racism I support leaders and groups working to make change. Both with my time, spending, and donation dollars.

Due to my whiteness I can’t ever fully understand the black experience. I can however decide to be still, listen & learn with an open heart, and not make everything about myself and/or my white experience.

We all have the ability co-create a world that works for ALL. Now is a significant shift in the USA and around the world. With COVID-19 we are all seeking connection, on social media, and news more. Maybe that’s why seeing George Floyd’s death, after decades of similar horrid pain inflicted on black & brown people; it’s made such an impact. I believe it’s an awakening for many non-black people on the injustices inflicted on black & brown people. Something you just can’t deny is WRONG if you are a thinking sane person.

So what have I done?

Attended a protest Saturday in Sacramento, and demonstration at Sacramento capital.

Great sign!

Spoke up at work to support my Black Employee Resource Group and pledged to do the work of an ally.

Found black leadership dedicated to dismantling systemic racism. Attending and LISTENING to black people voice the pain, frustration, anger and rightful distrust of police & white people. Witnessing calls for action & change, doing the hard work of looking at myself, being receptive and understanding.

I’m am willing to be uncomfortable and sit in the realization that I have tolerated hate speech from friends and family. I’ve always spoken up but I didn’t always remove myself from these influences. After having my child I have spoken up more. This last year I removed myself from additional individuals in my family & friends spouting racist ideas, who don’t believe they are prejudice.

My pain is secondary from the pain of black people, however I know losses of friends and family can be a painful process. Being an ally can take many forms. I’m at a stage where I can’t tolerate prejudice in my space. I’m loosing people from my circle BUT I’m gaining so much more in new friendships and alliances. My church family have been amazing!

I’m living my beliefs with a moral compass.

Sharing my personal belief that it’s not black & brown peoples job to educate white people about prejudice. I believe it is each individuals responsibility to learn. Then once you awaken to keep learning. I do believe it’s not prudent to argue with people who are asleep, as they are not ready. My energy is more useful helping others who are just awakening or supporting my black brothers & sisters when they are hurting. Asking what can I do. Listening with both ears and leaning in with love. Letting loved ones, black & brown friends that are hurting know that “I here for you” etc.

Understanding the pain right now for the black community. We often want the injured to answer all our questions when we start waking up. I say start educating yourself and let your friend/co-worker know you’d like to talk when they are up for it. Understand this is a very traumatic time. Give black & brown people the grace of understanding they are hurting right now.

Signed relevant petitions, looking for black businesses for my spending. Having discussions with my amazing daughter, and some of her friends who have called to ask me questions.

I urge you to be part of the solution! My intention here is to share my view. Possibly inspire others to take action.

This can be heavy stuff, what are you feeling peeps?
